WCAHT Tokenomics
How WCAHT works as the unit of value, fees, and security for the network.
The WCAHT unit
One WCAHT divides into 1,000,000,000 (10⁹) kak, the smallest on-chain unit. All balances and fees are denominated in kak internally.
Utility — what WCAHT is for
| Function | Role |
|---|---|
| Transfer | The unit of value moved across the network. |
| Fees | Every transaction pays a fee in WCAHT; a priority fee can be added for ordering under load. |
| Staking | Validators stake WCAHT to join consensus and earn rewards; misbehavior is slashable. |
Supply & distribution (draft)
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Genesis supply | TBD — finalized pre-mainnet |
| Emission / inflation schedule | TBD — staking-reward driven, on-chain |
| Community / ecosystem | TBD |
| Validators & staking rewards | TBD |
| Team & development | TBD (vested) |
| Treasury / reserve | TBD |
WCAHT rewards are expected to be deterministic and protocol-defined — a function of finalized on-chain state so every node computes identical balances, rather than off-chain issuance. Final validator rewards, fee splits, inflation, burn policy, slashing rates, minimum stake, unbonding period, and governance rules will be finalized during the pre-mainnet economics review.
Fees & anti-spam
Fees are paid in WCAHT. On the current testnet, transactions pay a base fee plus an optional priority fee for ordering under congestion. The network also enforces recent-blockhash expiry (replay protection), per-IP rate limits, and disk back-pressure so spam cannot displace legitimate value transfer. Final fee parameters are set in the economics review.
Staking & security
Consensus is stake-weighted BFT: validators stake WCAHT to participate in block production and finality. Validator rewards and slashing are being built out during the incentivized-testnet phase. Full staking parameters (reward model, minimum stake, unbonding period, commission, slashing rates) are finalized before mainnet and are not committed in this draft.
